Photographic Composition 101

Today I relearned a little tidbit about taking pictures that I’ve learned before.

However, not well enough to do it right all the time. The tip here, is that the thing you are focusing on, the main focus of any photo should be vertically, centered. You will want it just slightly off center horizontally, but vertically, one is most focused on the subjects in the center of the picture. Try it by shooting several frames of a scene from different angles and see on what you notice first in each shot. You’ll see that it is the object in the center. Can you tell the difference between the two?  My intention  in taking these pictures was to show the kitchen. In the first one, your eye goes right to the door leading out of the  kitchen. Mission not accomplished.  In the second one,  your eye goes to  the counter and follows around to the roses in the front. Mission accomplished.
